Kings Cross Tube Station Voice Alarm System

Designers and suppliers of life-safety audio communications systems, Baldwin Boxall Communications Limited (BBCL) are a selected supplier to London Underground for station refurbishments. As part of their contract to supply the complex public address and voice alarm system covering all areas of Kings Cross tube station, BBCL needed to provide formal reliability analyses and predictions for two purposes; 1) to confirm the system’s compliance with reliability requirements and 2) to provide information needed for the preparation of maintenance plans. D.G.Edworthy Associates were commissioned to perform the analysis, gathering data from the BBCL design team and performing a successful MIL-217-F parts count analysis to provide reliability predictions that met requirements and had a high level of confidence and assurance.
