About D.G. Edworthy Associates Headed by our Principal Consultant, Doug Edworthy, and drawing upon the skills of our specialist associates we provide consultancy in a variety of specialist audio engineering fields. Since 1994 we have been providing successful audio engineering consultancy to large and small organisations in the areas of Public Address Systems, Voice Alarm Systems, and Audio Frequency Induction Loop Systems. Doug Edworthy has held senior and board-level engineering, marketing and quality management positions since 1985, gaining a wealth of experience in the UK, Mainland Europe, Scandinavia, the Middle East, Hong Kong, and North America. His abilities and integrity as a consultant have been recognised through his membership of learned societies. He is a member of the British Computer Society (MBCS) and the Audio Engineering Society (MAES), and is an Honorary Fellow of the Institute of Sound and Communications Engineers (Hon.FInstSCE). He is a Past President of the Council of the ISCE having held the positions of; Chair of the Steering Committee 1990-1996, and President of the Institute 1996-2000. As an active member of the BSI Technical committee Doug Edworthy helped produce BS7594 - Code of Practice for AFILS and contributed to the 2006 revision of IEC 60118-4 (the international standard for AFILS). In addition to his audio
engineering skills Doug Edworthy is a trained and certificated
auditor of ISO 9001 quality management systems, ISO 9000-3 (Tick-IT)
software quality management systems, and ISO 14001 environmental
management systems. He also holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in
Computing for Commerce and Industry (PGD CCI(Open)), and the
BCS/ISEB Certificates in Information Security Management and in
Information Security Risk Managament.
